Visit Austin with SDNCC

Purpose

The San Diego North Chamber of Commerce will be taking members of the business community, local media representatives and elected officials to Austin, Texas to show the benefit of a pro-business economic structure.

During the trip, our delegation will meet and conduct site visits of major economic contributors (Samsung), see what a cohesive permitting process can produce (Circuit of the Americas) and visit sites dedicated to developing Cleantech in the region (The Pecan Street Project and ATI).

On our second day, we will meet with representatives from every level of government from the city to the state, business organizations, and dedicated economic development departments and learn their perspective on what it means to have a strong economy and to be supportive of business.

We hope to show San Diego how we can better support the business community and what a strong business community does to grow the economy.
