The San Diego North Chamber of Commerce is dedicated to sustaining and growing the region’s diverse businesscommunity and attracting new companies and economies to the area. Through the Economic Development Committee, the Chamber is able to stay at the forefront of economic development issues in the region.
The mission of the Economic Development Committee is to retain, grow and attract business of all sizes to San Diego North.
The support of small businesses, fortune 500 corporations,and every level in between makes the Economic Development Committee and the San Diego North Chamber a viable resource for all businesses already in the area, and companies looking to come to San Diego North.

Three main focus areas of the Economic Development Committee are:
Business Development - Identify and promote policies and programs that allow and encourage companies to invest in the region either through retention or expansion.
Workforce Development – Provide a regional workforce that is capable and competent through collaboration with business and academia.
Permitting & City/County Services Subcommittee - The Permitting & City/County Services initiative seeks to streamline processes, educate businesses on available business resources, and identify opportunities for cities and county to collaborate on economic development projects for the betterment of the San Diego North region. The Permitting & City/County Services Subcommittee meets on an ad-hoc basis.
