"Healthcare is something that impacts everyone. Since the healthcare industry is currently in an era of constant change, it is imperative that you be educated and informed of these issues as they continue to evolve. I want to encourage you to join our Health Committee as we proactively prepare Chamber members for the implementation of healthcare reform, and help them to build their employee wellness initiatives. We meet on the fourth Tuesday of every month from 8:00 - 9:30am at National University in Rancho Bernardo. I hope to see you there!"

About the Committee
The San Diego North Chamber of Commerce strives to deliver up-to-date, health related information to enhance the quality of life of Chamber members and the business community at large. The Health Committee serves as the Chamber's front line to educate San Diego North businesses about health care issues specific to the region that impact bottom lines and workforce productivity.
The Health Committee has three key initiatives. The first is to develop and maintain a Workplace Wellness Site, dedicated to sharing low-cost and no-cost ideas that employers can use to boost the health of their employees. The committee also examines pertinent health legislation and relays its impact to the business community. Finally, the committee hosts events designed to raise awareness of the importance of health in the workplace. In these workshops, businessmen and women can hear directly from hospital executives, industry experts, and wellness professionals.
